A speed test tells you whether your connection can handle streaming. For smooth HD on IPTVV, aim for about 25 Mbps download.
To run a useful test:
- Use a free speed test app or website (such as a built-in test on your TV, or one in your phone's app store).
- Test on the same device you stream on, in the same room, on the same Wi-Fi or wired connection. Speed can vary a lot from room to room.
- Run it while no one else is doing heavy downloads, then run it again during your usual viewing time to compare.
How to read the result:
- Download speed is the number that matters most. Under 25 Mbps may cause buffering on HD.
- A big gap between your speed test result and your plan's advertised speed points to a Wi-Fi or router issue, not your IPTVV service.
If your speed is well above 25 Mbps but you still buffer, the cause is likely Wi-Fi range, an older device, or ISP throttling. See our related troubleshooting articles or contact our support team using the Contact support button.
